ok so! i think cass is very easily scared off when it comes to this kind of thing: love. he’s skittish when he’s unsure, and although romantic dalliances aren’t new to him, approaching a situation where he’s not privy to if you reciprocate or even if you ever could, is new to him. he’s always been the one in control of the dynamic, or at the very least an equal, with both participants on the same page (or thereabouts, see him and bix i suppose.)

the man seems a lil avoidant, like he’s just wary of people in general so i'm not so sure how well he’d respond to hearing from a third party that you had a crush on him, whether that be a close friend of yours or an unfamiliar group of fellow rebels. he’d immediately feel like expectations were being pushed onto him and people were anticipating him to react in a certain way. he doesn’t like that, it feels like someone's yanked open the curtains that were obscuring him from the bright light of perception? so even though he returns your feelings for sure, he’s not going to react well to that kind of direct address/situation and would most likely pull away from you in an attempt to take back the control he feels he’s lost.

in the end i think if one of you were to make a move to further the relationship, it would have to be him because he doesn’t like feeling caught off guard or put on the spot. even then, he’s definitely not confessing the true extent of his fondness for you (even though it totally consumes him, this is a man that feels deeply, just look at those eyes babe). 

cassian is someone who expresses their love through actions and deeds, not so much words, at least not immediately, that’s a little too vulnerable for him at the moment.

let's be honest, his version of getting the message across to you is patting you on the shoulder and telling you “that’s really good” as he oversees your group’s blaster training. like the affection is there and you totally get free passes where others don’t, but overall there’s really nothing concrete to suggest he thinks of you as anything other than a friendly comrade, which is probably how he likes it for now.

again, addressing it head on either by yourself or having another person plant the notion into his mind is not the way to go about this. he’s like a stray animal, you see him from across the street and desperately want to pull him close and love up on him, but even the most careful approach will have him skirting away from you in a flash after one wrong move.

honestly the only way to go about this i think is to just let him do his own thing, find a quiet and subtle way let him know you’re open and will be waiting with open arms, and he’ll come to you eventually. i’d say he’d come to you in his own time, and I wouldn't be lying but let's be honest, that first really meaningful look (see elevator scene in rogue one 😩) and pleading of your name is going to come in a moment of high-stakes and danger. what can I say, there's nothing like a life threatening situation in which either one or both of your lives are in jeopardy and desperation and stress infect every decision made, to provoke a momentary lapse in resolve and allow some painfully concealed concern and devotion to seep out of one's every orifice <3.

then there’s the subject of his name. obviously he introduces himself as cassian (unless he’s undercover but that’s a whole other can of worms, you’d get there in the end), so you’ve not really any reason to suspect otherwise until you pose an innocent question about the origins of his name, which leads him to hesitantly surrender his birth name to you. this is only something he’d ever consider doing if he truly, deeply trusted you and felt ready to open up even just a little bit. again, it’s all in his own time, there’s no pushing cassian. psst, don’t be afraid of using his real name, he’ll answer to it…just pick the right moments iykyk

when on missions, clashes tend to happen. cassian believes he knows best (and maybe he does. he probably does lets be fr we’re dumbos), so you’ll every now and again notice him speaking for you or making decisions on your behalf. obviously as an independent entity, this will most likely get on your nerves so it’s an issue that’ll have to be addressed in a sit down session with him. he honestly doesn’t mean it in a controlling way, he probably sees it as him relieving you of any unnecessary burdens, so you’ll have to make it clear to him you’d appreciate it if he lets you stand on your own 2 feet and would, well… for a lack of a better phrase, ‘just butt out’. at the end of the day, you’d rather be equals, partners in crime, not so much some micromanaged talent. come on, it’s understandable cass.

just for funsies... he’s probably unbuttoned his shirt a little more than necessary at least once. just to see if you’d respond to it. he’d seen the style begin to take off amongst the more cocksure pilots (that’s what he tried to tell himself. it was really just fueled by a shy desire to have you look at him like that, like the rebel full of swagger that he knows he isn't). it lasted a grand total of 12 hours before he caught a glimpse of his reflection and cringed a little bit, vanity be damned. the next time you saw him, his shirt was buttoned back up all the way again and he will never acknowledge the fact ever again.

A/N: This idea happened when I rewatch Andor for fourth time. Now, I'm heavily in the writer-block state, but I don't want to abandon this blog. I believe this dilemma is gonna pass, if I keep writing. So, Enjoy!

Okay, let's start!

You met him on Yavin IV. Both of you were new to the Alliance's main base.

Since it was the main base, that meant you both had to train for necessary skills.

From the Alliance's levels, he was 'good to excellent', while your far-lenght shooting skill was not reaching the requirement. You stayed at training ground, after all new recruits leaved, to improve your skill.

Cassian saw you practising. He volunteered to help you, because he had feelings toward you.

It was the impression at first sight.

He couldn't clearly answer what kind of feeling, but as you were around him, smiling at him and saying thanks, he felt like he was teenage boy - who had a first crush - again.

While you had been grateful for his help and feeling like butterflies were in your stomach, especially when he adjusting your stance.

Not only his help drove you crazy, but also his smiles, his touches and his whispers into your ear - how to shoot and hitting right at the target.

As you hit all targets in all rows, you jumped and hugged him with happiness and exciting.

Yes. It made you blushing hard like tomatoes, while Cassian's heart skipped a beat. So, you two bounced away.

"First time is a beginner luck. You have to practise everyday." He said. "Meet me every day after dinner."

You agreed. You and Cassian kept meeting at training ground, every evening.

And after the semi-private session. You returned to your quater with many questions in your head. The big question was; 'Did you fall for him?'

You shaked them off and switched with the thought until you falling asleep.

Now you had been practising every evening for 2 weeks, until he challenging you to shoot all targets within 30 seconds. You accepted and you did it.

Jumping and hugging him again. But this time you both lingered. His face and yours were close, enough to feel the breathes. His brown eyes bared his soul, you could not fight them.

"Thank you so much, Cassian. I think tomorrow I will pass the test with flying flag." You mumbled.

"I think so, but, why do you looking to another way?"

You still looked down at the floor, almost startling, he was tilting your chin up to look at him. His thumb gently fondled your lower lips, your lips part a little.

"Cassian...I-I.." You stuttered, "I don't know what to say..."

"Kassa, call me Kassa."

Cassian's raptured voice got you, finally you gazed upon him, whispering 'Kassa'.

Like the gravity around you two sent the colossus magnets pulling you both to capture each other's lips.

After few seconds, which felt like hours; you both withdrew for air, leaning the temples together with wide smiles and small laughing.

When you passed the test and registered as an officially rebellion officer, Cassian was waiting for you.

You hopped and hugging him tightly. He praised you and guiding you away from the chaos around hangar and commanding table.

"Would you like to move into my quarter?" He asked, kissing your temple.

"You should ask me out before asking me to move in with you." You teased him. This time was his turn that his cheeks were reddening.

He knew too well, your both works were not certain. The missions after would take his own or your life. Also, his first mission as Captain Andor had been assigned, he must leave in three days from now. So, he had to rush things like this.

But you had a point. He should ask you out for an official date. He made up his mind and asking you to survey the ancient ruins on Yavin IV with him.

You accepted with conditions and terms;

"Okay, I'm going out with you, but about moving in--"

"But what?"

"But after your first mission succeed and our third date. Because I need the assurance that you are gonna return back safe and sound. Promise me."

Cassian smiled sweetly, kissed you before he speaking.

"I'm certainly gonna get back to you, my love, I promise."

Then you hugged him again and kissing his jawline, just like a seal to guaruntee the new chapter and adventure in your both lives was full of happiness, joyous and bright futures. Even those three words did not slip out yet.

hello!! haha thank you! i love this idea!!! i might write a longer like. actual piece of writing but for now im in headcanon mode. here are some of the ideas going swooooosh in my head . im running w mechanic! reader because i'm deep in that 'verse.

warnings: none lol just sweetness. fluff.

___ - even though he's such a lone wolf when it comes to being a spy - and also because he's lost almost everyone he's ever loved - we see especially in the earlier episodes of andor that cassian is pretty enthusiastic about physical touch when it comes to the people that he loves.

- he's a hugger with people he cares about, which is one thing, but i also see him as the sort of person that, when he gets close to and comfortable with you, he'll lean into those casual points of contact you have with a person. - like sitting next to each other; shoulders or legs touching. the warmth of someone next to you, the comfort of contact from someone you trust. i also think he'd be pretty into holding hands whenever humanly possible. - visiting you in the hangars; greeting you by squeezing your hand. holding it while you're talking, or walking somewhere. just casual, comforting points of contact. - but like he'd try to be cool about it because he tries to be cool about everything. - he's like a cat. won't let anyone touch him except like one or two special people. - one of my favourite emotional intimacy things with any kind of relationship is when you reach the point that you don't have to perform or be anything other than your natural self around someone - cassian would love this. he has to put up a facade every day. for the work he does. for being undercover. for being a leader. - being able to just sit in silence, being able to decompress. talk about your day. be closer to Kassa than Cassian Andor, Hero of the Rebellion. going to his room at the end of the day and being able to cuddle up in complete silence and relax. - being able to be angry, or irritable, and knowing that even if either of you snap at each other, you'll sort it out. acceptance of people's moods and behaviours comes with time. - he's a prickly guy. like y'all would for SURE have arguments about something or other. but he's incredibly loyal. and for you? who wouldn't want to keep that man forever? not letting him go any time soon. - when you reach a point where you don't have to communicate verbally about things - like when someone's pissing you off in the mess hall in a group setting; just being able to make eye contact with each other and you're both like 'fuck this guy.' - if cass came back after a mission or you come to your room after a long day, and the other just knows what the vibe is by reading your body language. - the thing where you say the same thing at the same time because you spend so much time together, and it's sort of dumb or embarrassing, but you also feel sort of proud of the connection you have. - he's such an eye contact dude. he says a lot with his eyes. i'd think you'd get very good at knowing exactly what he's thinking. and a little (a lot) flustered if it's obvious he's looking at you affectionately. - the THING my other favourite thing is when someone you love does something that's so them and you're just immediately flooded by the i love this person!!!!. and you feel like you have to say it before it explodes out of you. - cassian isn't a super verbose guy emotionally speaking but he does alright. - so i'm not sure if he'd ever just say the "i love you" out of nowhere like i mentioned but... i think in the right situation. on that rare occasion?? yeah he'd say it. and it would probably make your knees weak because he's a very earnest person.

Obi-Wan Kenobi as a father headcanons (Obi-Wan Kenobi x reader)

Obi-Wan saying "i wish that i could say i was" to Little Leia's "are you my real father?" gave me ALL the feelings so i had to do this

This is set after Revenge of the Sith and before Obi-Wan Kenobi

Tw: pregnancy

• You and Obi-Wan had moved to Tatooine after Order 66, because he promised he would watch over Luke

• You both knew it was dangerous having two Jedi together when the Empire was hunting down every single one of them, but, after years of hiding your feelings from the Jedi Council, you knew you couldn't live without each other

• "Now there's no Jedi Order anymore and we can finally be together. I know it's dangerous, but I'm sure together we'll be stronger" - he said, giving you a reassuring kiss

• To prevent being found by the Empire, you moved to far away, deep in Tatooine, and started using new names: now he was Ben and you were (Y/N)

• You also decided to abandon every trace of your life as Jedi and found some jobs to make a living, in order to try and live an ordinary life

• Living in Tatooine wasn't easy, but at least you had each other, which was more than you could ever ask

• And of course, being the loyal Jedi you were, you both spent so much time trying to step away from each other and fight those feelings while you were in the Jedi Order, so now you had to make up for lost time, which included lots of... ahem... sexy time 🌚

• Obviously some time later you started feeling the effects of that (🤭) and to say you were terrified was an understatement

• "Ben, I think I'm... I think I'm pregnant" - you said, really worried about that thought

• "What? Are you sure?" - you could feel the surprise in his voice

• "I... I think so"

• "(Y/N), that's wonderful!" - he said smiling and holding your hands in his

• "What? No! How are we going to raise a child here? What if the Empire senses them and takes them away from us? I-I can't-"

• "(Y/N), listen. I will not let that happen, okay? We are strong and we will do whatever it takes to protect our family, you can be sure of that" - he said, holding you and making you feel so safe

• You hugged him back and started crying. You were absolutely scared, but he had a way of reassuring you that you really believed every word he said

• Pregnancy was tough (specially in Tatooine), but Obi-Wan (or Ben lol) was the best partner you could ever ask for

• He was always helping you and making sure you were comfortable

• When the baby was born, you had to face new challenges, but you knew you would overcome them together

• And surprise: it was a beautiful girl! You both named her (D/N) and promised to do whatever you could to protect her and give her all the best

• Her first years were a bit tough because both of you were sooo inexperienced

• "(Y/N), she won't stop crying. I'm about to start crying too because I absolutely don't know what to do" LOL he was so precious, always trying his best

• But when your daughter got older (around 4 years old), things got easier and the three of you became the best friends ever

• Her favorite thing to do was listen to the fantastic stories you and Obi-Wan made up just for her

• "Mommy, will you tell me story pleeeease"

Cassian has a sweet tooth. I can just imagine whenever he has free time and has successfully completed a mission that he stops by whatever market he is nearby and gets some type of sweet treat. He wouldn't admit it right away, but he definitely would take the last piece of chocolate you had both saved.

Cassian is also one of the best chefs on base. When he has the time and ingredients, he will often serve entire meals to the members of the alliance that typically stay on base. If they get married, who proposes?: Cassian doesn’t especially seek out marriage. That is, he doesn’t exactly see the point in the institution: The two of you have been together, and already know that you’re going to stay together. For Cassian, there is simply no other. What difference will a ring and a few words make? However, if it’s important to you, then he’ll concede. The indifference works both ways, in all that matters to him is that you’ll still be together. (Though he must admit: A twinge of pride fills him the very moment you became his in an entirely new way.) The proposal was admittedly not necessarily the most romantic, with Cassidy simply stating, “If we’re going to get married, I should at least be certain that this is what you want. With me.” But then again, that’s simply how Cassian is: Straightforward and thorough.

What’s the wedding like? Who attends?: Chances are you got married on the base. Even though plenty of rebels wanted to catch a glimpse of the captain’s wedding, Cassian loathed the idea of being watched and instead requested that it be done in private. Right before a mission. Essentially in a corner amongst a series of corridors in the main building. Not even K2 was told about it, being that he couldn’t be trusted to keep his metal mouth shut on the matter. The only one present was Mon, who gladly officiated the impeccably small affair. Suffice to say, everyone was in varying states of shock when you returned after disappearing for an hour, a simple ring on your left hand. Well, save for Chirrut, who simply smiled knowingly. Once again, it isn’t the most ideal scenario, but it’s probably the best that could be done on such short notice. If you truly wished for a bigger turnout, Cassian would appease you and promise for a larger redo for the others to attend. He doesn’t get it or enjoy the idea, but who is he to rain on his own wedding?

How many kids do they have, if any? What are they like?: Once the dust settles with the war, the two of you have a daughter. It shocks plenty to learn such a smiley and sweet baby could share any kind of DNA with the stoic former captain. Even when she calms down a bit as she ages, it’s hard to see the resemblance personality-wise: Your daughter isn’t as rigid, and is quite resourceful and creative even when it comes to learning defense. It can drive her poor father a little crazy but deep down, he’s proud because he knows in the end, if she keeps this up, she’ll probably never really want for anything.

Do they have any pets?: Does K2 count? Not really, no. There’s a stray cat that sometimes visits the garden of the home you two acquire post-war, but you two haven’t necessarily adopted him. Cassian just sits outside with him sometimes, drinking a hot drink in the mornings.

Who’s the stricter parent?: To no one’s surprise, it’s Cassian. But to to everyone’s surprise, he’s not as hard as anyone would think. Of course, he can be stubborn or overprotective and very insistent on your daughter learning how to fight and build and so on. But beyond that, Cassian isn’t as poorly-suited to fatherhood as one might think. The reality is he was practically wrapped around his daughter’s finger even before she came into this world. He doesn’t necessarily spoil her, but he certainly would make sure she has the life he never had but always dreamed of being able to give others. 

Who kills the bugs in the house?: Cassian, because even after he asks him to, K2 won’t do it.

How do they celebrate holidays?: Considering that a lot of galactic recognized holidays are more or less in celebration of governmental authorities such, you and Cassian don’t really have very many holidays you actually support, much less celebrate. Though, every year, on the date marked as the official end to the war, you both meet up with any remaining members of the Rebellion and hold a feast.

Who’s more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning?: You are, but it’s still not very likely. Cassian is definitely better about waking up than you are, but your years with the Rebellion have messed with your circadian rhythm something fierce. You still have a tendency to wake up at dawn, convinced you have to get ready for training or tend to some machinery in the hangar. But on the rare occasion you give in and sleepily whimper for him to stay with you, Cassian will not deny you. he could be completely dressed, ready for the day, and still slip back into the sheets with you and hold you for just a little longer. And with his hand rubbing your back in that way you love, you can’t help but fall back to sleep, content in feeling his warmth. Of course, he could easily take this opportunity to try and slip away again. But he doesn’t. So what if he has errands to run and meetings to attend? He’s a war hero, goddammit: He should be allowed time to spend with his beloved.

Who’s the better cook?: You are, but that isn’t saying much. Cassian has an iron stomach, having been raised on rations and all sorts of unfortunate things passing for food. You weren’t a child soldier like himself, so you did have some experience with prepping food before joining the Rebellion. But it wasn’t very much, and you weren’t often assigned to work in the mess hall area enough to further your practices. Plus, the most you all would receive would be ration packs that were quick and extremely simple with little to no prep beyond the utilization of moisture. Still, Cassian eats whatever you put in front of him, knowing that you’re trying your best. The both of you, post-war, do your best to practice your cooking on one another. And between you two, Cassian has gagged far less on what you’ve made than the other way around.

Life moves pretty normally after, nothing really changes.

However he does now understand how you can do that; and know so much about this; and why you know how those two things work together.

Don’t get me wrong, he still likes you a lot, but he does have similar worries to Poe. 

At the same time he also heavily respects you for managing to get away and - not just start a new life - but join the Resistance. 

It’s a very notable achievement. 

Like Han, he looks up to you for that.

“You know, it doesn’t exactly bother me as much as I thought it would to begin with.”

It’s just like you broke off from the First Order and then reprogrammed yourself to work for the good guys.
